Built around 1915. In those years the railroad line that connected the cities of San Diego, California and Yuma, Arizona, was extended into Mexican territory due to technical circumstances in the design of the same, having as a station the city of Tecate.
The establishment of the railroad marked, without a doubt, the origin of the industrial development of the City and a large part of the region, contributing to the formation of the Tijuana-Tecate industrial corridor, which facilitated the development of the wine, oil, beer, malt, coffee and cement industries in Baja California.
The station had a waiting room, an office and a warehouse on the ground floor, the upper floor was occupied as housing for the head of the station and was surrounded by the houses of the railroad workers and the founder of the brewery, Mr. Alberto Aldrete.
Today, the Station, the brewery and an old coffee plantation from the middle of the century are part of Tecate's historical heritage; being an important part of the material culture that was produced between Mexico and the United States at the beginning of the 20th century.
The station is one of the most culturally and architecturally valuable buildings in the city. Currently the line operates only for cargo transportation and tourist tours departing from Campo California to Tecate.
